Tim O'Sullivan went to Law school at Washburn and got his Masters in tax at UMKC. He started his career in tax in the 80s, but switched to estate planning because of his experience in tax and his desire to be on the planning side of estates and tax.
Tim has 30 years of experience and helps head up the e state planning section of Foulston Siefkin in Wichita, KS.
Tim discusses estate planning in this episode and how people can plan as they age and "tie-up" their future. He talks about the estimated timelines to close out estates and the cost.
Tim also discusses revocable trusts and tax implications of estate planning.

Dioane planted and pastored the Mending Place Church in Wichita, KS from 2009 to 2021. He talks about what his ministry was like and how he grew the ministry and dealt with retiring from the ministry.
Dioane spent 17 years with the Sedgwick County Sherriff's Department.
He discusses how his experience in law enforcement and as a pastor have given him a unique perspective on leadership and allowed him to dig into adaptive leadership theory.
Dioane discusses the ability to have perspective in life and to truly listen and have knowledge of others perspectives. This takes humility and a strong capacity of willingness to be open to others.

In this episode Lacie talks about how she became an entrepreneur and grew in her leadership and creativity. She went to Kansas State and had a job in door to door book sales and got into insurance with a sister company. She moved to Mississippi and Texas before she came back to Kansas.
Her initial entrepreneur journey was with her first company Heartland Heritage a midwest lifestyle clothing brand. The logo is a quail and started with men's clothing and is still around today.
Then Zipsip started when she had a Heartland Heritage branded koozie that could not fit a draft beer and she got to thinking why can't I get a koozie that can fit any size drink.
Lacie discusses her journey with growth and learning to run a business with Zipsip. She talks about her strength of building relationships and how she has built an amazing team and learned from them as well.
She also discusses life hacks and what she has learned in life in general and how she has grown and focused on her own development and personal health despite her success in business.

Sam is the owner of Real Producers Wichita and Be Local where she gets more connected in the Wichita market and helps her clients get connected and in front of their target audience. She says she also helps locals be a "tourist" in their own town.
Sam talks about how she has set daily habits and morning routines to be successful in her daily work and to help set goals. She shares some of the joys in her life and how she is currently living the best life possible with what she has.

Mark Hutton started Hutton construction in Wichita Kansas in 1992. He had the motto of "Build by day, and bid by night." in 2010 his son Ben Hutton took over the company.
Mark discusses the challenges of growing a business and family throughout the 90s and trying to balance both. He also discusses exit planning and mentoring his successor who also happened to be his son and the challenges that came with that. How to set solid expectations for both his son and himself and to encourage his son to grow based on his strengths and not necessarily exactly the way Mark grew.
Mark also talks about his faith and how God led him throughout his career. How he had to listen to the call of God especially in times of greatest success. Mark has been a great contributor in mentorship and leadership to the Wichita community his whole career.

Sherdeill has been a pastor and in ministry work for nearly 40 years. He is from Chicago and grew up in place without a strong male role model. His mother migrated from the Caribbean when she was 2. Sherdeill had a speech impediment as a child and grew up in a very poor lifestyle without hot water until he was 10 years old.
At 15 Mr. Gibson came into his life and acted as a mentor for him. Sherdeill grew up somewhat violent. He says it was in reaction to keep him from focusing on his deficiencies.
He moved from Chicago to Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma and played football there. He considered law school but football looked more promising to him at the time. He played in the USFL for a number of teams throughout the midwest as a linebacker.
He then worked for GM in Oklahoma City. In 1990 he ended up in Wichita when a company bought out his contract at GM. He worked for Sedgewick County in Economic Development for over 20 years starting in 1996.
He has been bi-vocational through his career in Wichita helping with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Church planting. He has had the motto of "each one reach one" to lead others to a better life and maturity.

Bryan Looper is an expert in the oil and gas industry. He has his own options and hedging business in the oil and gas space and is a financial advisor with Leading Edge Financial Planning. Bryan lives in Pagosa Springs, CO.
Bryan initially started college thinking he would become a physical therapist studying exercise science. He worked for Special Olympics Colorado for about 6 years in downtown Denver. He then moved back to Pagosa Springs and began looking for a career that allowed him to live in a small town while providing. He found the commodities market through that search.
Bryan discusses the commodities market currently and specifically highlights some of the oil and gas market. He discusses the impacts to the consumer and economy as a whole.
